Ooni Dismiss Rumours of Resurgence of Ife-Modakeke War

  The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has rubbished the reports that farmers killed in Toro village, Modakeke is a renewed crisis between Modakeke and Ife. Ooni described the killing in Modakeke as sheer criminality. "What happened at Toro village was sheer criminality and the long hand of the law would soon catch up with the perpetrators,” Ooni stated. He noted that attachment of communal coloration to the killing is an attempt by mischief makers to derail security operatives who are on top of the matter. Oba Adeyeye in a release by Moses Olafare, his director of media and public affairs said he received the report of the killing on Friday with serious concern. Amotekun busts Fulani bandits with AK-47 rifle in Oyo

  Operatives of the Oyo State Security Network code-named Amotekun has apprehended two suspected armed bandits. Amotekun media unit announced the arrest of the two suspects in a statement on Thursday stating that they were nabbed with an AK47 rifle, pump Action, and a Dane gun. The suspects identified as Mumini Saliu, aged 45, and 25-year-old Ibrahim Suleiman were nabbed at Alapa Village, Lanlate town in Ibarapa East Local Government Area. “Saliu and Suleiman had 82 rounds 7.62 ammunition, and 7 cartridges amongst other harmful weapons in their possession when they were arrested,” the statement revealed. Reportedly, the suspects who are of Fulani extraction could only speak in their language and they revealed that they were recruited from Katsina State by their leader. Boko Haram: Nigeria’s Missing Alpha Jet Found , Fate of Pilots Unknown

  The missing Alpha jet of the Nigerian Air Force has been found. It was found to have crashed at Abba-Jille in Konduga LGA of Borno State. The location of the crash is approx 30Kms outskirt from the city of Maiduguri.PR Nigeria reported that the fighter jet was seen flying around Goni Kurmiri and Njimia villages after attacking terrorist locations at the Sambisa axis. There was no word yet on the fate of the pilot and co-pilot, whether they ejected safely or have been captured by insurgency fighters. The plane was reported to have lost contact with the radar on Wednesday evening, according to Air Force spokesman, Commodore Edward Gabkwet. He said the plane lost contact with radar in Borno State, while on interdiction mission in support of ground troops. “The mission was part of the ongoing counterinsurgency operations in the North East. “The loss of radar contact occurred at about 5:08 p.m. on 31 March 2021.

Nigerians’ll be Shocked if I Revealed Those Behind Zamfara Schoolgirls’ Abduction-Matawalle

  The Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, on Sunday said he had many revelations to make about  the attack on Government Girls’ Secondary School, Jangebe on Friday, when over 300 students were abducted. The governor, who stated this when 17 Emirs in the state paid him a sympathy visit over the abduction of the schoolgirls, said Nigerians would be shocked to know people behind the abduction of the girls. Also during the visit, the Emir of Anka and  Chairman of Zamfara state Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Attahiru Anka,  berated the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), over the upsurge in killings and kidnappings by bandits in the country.
