79-year-old Bill Oxley, ex-agent of America’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is re-writing the history of the death of reggae legend Bob Marley, claiming he actually killed the legend. Marley tragically died aged only 36-years-old, leading music lovers world-wide to grieve as the Jamaican icon’s life and career were cut short following a four-year battle with cancer. The story of cancer may seem untrue as startling claims have emerged from a deathbed confession made by an ex-CIA officer, where he admitted to the killing. A Ghanaian man pretending to be a lawyer has been arrested after he used wrong legal language in court. The suspect, Emmanuel Marfo, 23, appeared at the Koforidua Circuit Court, on Friday as a defence attorney in a civil dispute between Peter Amanor and Hanson Annoh, who alleged that Amanor failed to pay him, money he lent him. According to Ebenezer Tetteh, Public Relations Officer for the Police in the Eastern Region, Judge Evelyn Asamoah, who presided over the case, became suspicious when Marfo (who was defending Amanor) used an incorrect legal language in court. The judge proceeded to ask Marfo where he attended school. He replied that he went to the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration’s School of Law. He was then asked to furnish proof, but he could provide none. Asamoah ordered for his arrest. Initial police investigations revealed that Marfo never took nor passed the bar examination. United States President, Donald Trump, called his Nigeria counterpart, Muhammadu Buhari, “lifeless,” after their April meeting, claimed global business newspaper, Financial Times, in a recent publication. Buhari and Trump met at the White House on April 30, 2018. Both leaders discussed issues bordering on fighting terrorism and economic growth. However, as Trump is set to welcome President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, Financial Times, in an article titled, ‘Africa looks for something new out of Trump,’ claimed that the US leader described Buhari, whom he met officially in April, as ‘so lifeless.’ The paper added that Trump warned his aides that he never wanted to meet someone ‘so lifeless’ again. “The first meeting with Nigeria’s ailing 75-year-old Muhammadu Buhari in April ended with the US president telling aides he never wanted to meet someone so lifeless again, according to three people familiar with the matter,” Financial Times claimed. A high court in Owerri on Friday evening released, unconditionally, the 114 women suspected to be members of the outlawed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra. The women were remanded by a magistrate’s court in Owerri on Monday and Thursday respectively, after they were arrested and arraigned by the Police for demanding to know the whereabouts of missing IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kalu. The bail application filed by the lead counsel to the women, Ejiofor Uche, was not opposed, as the Police had no representation in court. The court had granted the bail application, and freed the women unconditionally. Their release sparked off wild jubilation on the court premises and within Owerri, the state capital. The Police prosecutor, Theaddus Okay, told our correspondent that the Police had no representation because the matter had been referred to the state ministry of justice for legal counsel and decision. The police on Thursday arraigned a 32- year-old fake pastor for allegedly raping a woman in an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court. The accused, Micheal Akpan, who resides at 17, Unity Close, Obawole, Iju, a suburb of Lagos is charged with one-count of rape. The Prosecutor, Insp Raji Akeem told the court that the offence was committed on Aug. 17 at the accused’s residence. Raji said that the accused pretended to be a pastor and told the complainant, a 29- year -old, who was on her way to work, that he had powers to deliver her from satanic oppression. He told the court that the accused told the complainant to buy seven bottles of olive oil for cleansing and also told her to meet him in his house later that day. On getting to the house, he said, the accused shut the door at her and raped her. Raji added that the complainant reported the case at the police station and the accused was arrested. Police Command in Enugu State said on Friday that it had arrested four suspects over alleged plan to sell babies within Enugu metropolis. File Photo The command’s spokesman, SP. Ebere Amaraizu who disclosed this in a statement in Enugu said that the suspects were arrested on Aug. 21 based on intelligence information. He said that the suspects were arrested by police operatives of the Awkunanaw Division in Enugu. “Four persons that specialise in the illicit business of sale of babies and trafficking have been nabbed by police operatives. “The suspects gave their names as Amarachi Igwe, Chekwube Ofornwa, Gidi Mohammed all of new Gariki Cattle Market Awkunanaw and One Ndubuisi Eze of Abakpa within Enugu. “They were promptly nabbed over their deal to sell a two-month-old male child. “A manhunt had been intensified on the two other fleeing members of the gang,’’ he said Amaraizu said that the arrested suspects had been helping police in their investigations.

When many  barren women are struggling to have a child of their own, some women who have been blessed with the fruit of the womb are busy doing the unheard of  with the gift God have given to them. These are the photographs of a baby dumped inside bush by her mother who left a note with her that she can no longer keep her due to hardship. A twitter user @Phunky brought this to the attention of the public. Some women are just callous.
