The 32-year-old man was also alleged to have stolen N65,000 belonging to the evicted relative, a female.
Fashina was brought before the court on a three-count charge of break on, stealing and conducting himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace which he, however, pleaded not guilty of.
narrating the incident, the police prosecutor, Sergeant Christopher Okoliko, told the court that the accused committed the offences on July 17, 2018 about 5.00 p.m., at No. 3/5, Olubunmi Alonge St., Ijeshatedo, Surulere when he forcefully ejected Adeshope Fashina, a relative, from one of the apartments she was occupying and also stole her N65, 000.
Okoliko said the offences contravene Sections 168, 287 and 307 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, Mrs Bola Folarin-Williams, admitted the accused to a bail of N30, 000 with two gainfully employed sureties each in like sum who must also be blood relations of the accused.
She adjourned the case until October 16, 2018 for mention.
