Obasanjo Basts Buhari, Says He's Confused More Than Ever

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Wednesday took a swipe on the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration that is at the moment confused in addressing the mirage of problems and challenges confronting the country.

Obansanjo who was the Special Guest at a one- day Extra Ordinary Summit of Leaders and Elders of Nigeria convened by the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Afenifere, Ohaeneze Ndigbo, Pan Niger Delta Forum, warned that if serious action was not taken, the situation could destroy Nigeria's democracy.

He said the Buhari government has gotten to the end of its tethers and the nation at present is being left divisively and perilously to drift.

The former President said that Nigeria, in recent times, has not been so divided along religious and regional lines as at today with what he termed, inexcusable killings and devastating poverty and with government’s wringing hands and apparently incompetent to stern the tide except giving one unrighteous and unacceptable justification after the other.

Ooni Dismiss Rumours of Resurgence of Ife-Modakeke War

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has rubbished the reports that farmers killed in Toro village, Modakeke is a renewed crisis between Modakeke and Ife. Gunmen invade Edo community, kill 3, abduct 13 children, women

Heavily-armed gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have reportedly invaded Emokpae community, in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State, where they killed three persons. The invaders were said to have also hijacked a bus conveying 13 passengers, including school children and market women, and marched them into the forest. he people of Emokpae community staged a peaceful protest to the State Government House in Benin on Friday. Spokesman for the community who gave his name simply as Egua, told journalists that the 13 passengers were still being held captives by the gunmen.
