Three Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who were kidnapped last Saturday along Elele-Omoku road in Rivers, have been rescued from their abductors.
Mr John Enebeli, Mr Austin Enebeli and Mr Afam Oniyan, according to a statement by APC Publicity Secretary in Rivers,Mr Chris Finebone, in Port Harcourt regained their freedom on Wednesday, following prompt intervention of security operatives.
Finebone said the trio are presently undergoing medical check up.
“We thank the leadership of the party under Mr Chibuike Amaechi, Minister of Transportation and security agencies for their timely intervention in various capacities that facilitated the safe release of the three gentlemen,” he said.
