Prominent Niger Delta Monarch, Ateke Tom Endorses Miss Amnesty Nigeria Pageant 2021

  


The Amanyanabo of Okochiri community, King Ateke Tom has endorsed  the grand finale of the Miss Amnesty Nigeria 2021 beauty pageant  scheduled to take place in Portharcourt , Rivers State, Nigeria.

The former Niger Delta warlord gave his nod to the contest when the organiser of Amnesty Peace and CEO, Tracy Mcwary Foundation and other beauty queens paid him a courtesy visit on March 31st, 2021 in his palace.

During the visit, the Niger-Delta leader  received a certificate of Nomination Award as Amnesty Peace Man of the year 2021 in recognition of his outstanding role in promoting peaceful co-existence in the region.
While  endorsing the  Miss Amnesty pageant, he  pledged his support to the empowerment of Women and Girl-Child in the Niger-delta region.

Gunmen invade Edo community, kill 3, abduct 13 children, women

  Heavily-armed gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have reportedly invaded Emokpae community, in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State, where they killed three persons. The invaders were said to have also hijacked a bus conveying 13 passengers, including school children and market women, and marched them into the forest. he people of Emokpae community staged a peaceful protest to the State Government House in Benin on Friday.
